DESPICABLE ME MINIONS
We all love these cute, pill-shaped, little banana and apple loving evil lab assistants, though truth be told, these little creatures are far from being evil. They are capable of caring (remember Agnes’s unicorn toy?), and showing affection. (Bedtime kiss from Gru!)
They also have real-life names, such as, Dave, Mark, Jerry, Stuart, Bob, Phil, Tim and Jorge.
It is said that the Minions have existed since the beginning of time as yellow henchmen. They serve the history’s most ambitious evil villains. Through their lovable ineptitude, Minions have managed to thwart and ultimately destroy all of those bad guys.
TRIVIA: Did you know that the language Minion-ese was especially created for Despicable Me Minions? Some of the words are derived from Spanish, Japanese and even Korean words.
In Despicable Movie 2 we are introduced to a new minion called the “evil minion” which is purple in color. They have frizzled hair with misshapen teeth, though they also share the love for banana and mischief.
They are basically minions injected with the mutagen PX-41 which turns them into an indestructible killing machine.
Because of their extreme popularity, the minions will be back with their own movie, which gives us the complete story of their origin and how they ended up meeting Gru! The movie will feature the voices of, Steve Carell, Sandra Bullock, Michael Keaton and Jon Hamm. It is slated for a July 2015 release.
